@ scarf down /skɑːrf daʊn/
     to eat a lot of food quickly (ăn nhiều và nhanh)
     Taylor only has 15 minutes to eat lunch so she scarfs it down really fast.
     In no time, I scarfed down two hamburgers, French fries, and something to drink.

@ dish up /dɪʃ ʌp/
     to make or serve a big meal (làm một bữa ăn thịnh soạn)
     He dished up a great dinner when we got back.
     What's the canteen dishing up for us today?

@ pick at /pɪk ət/
     to eat only a small amount of your food, showing no interest or enjoyment while you eat it (ăn ít và không hứng thú)
     I wasn't very hungry so I just picked at my food.
     Tom Hand picked at his food in a bored fashion.

@ knock back /nɒk bæk/
     to quickly drink something, especially a lot of alcohol (uống gì rất nhanh, đặc biệt bia rượu)
     The pub was closing so we knocked our drinks back and left.
     She was knocking back the champagne at Joe Biden's party.

@ pig out on /pɪg aʊt ɒn/
     to eat a lot or too much (ăn quá nhiều)
     Huge Jackman had been on a diet all week, so during the weekend he pigged out on fast food.
     We pigged out on all the delicious cakes and pastries.

@ cut down  /kʌt daʊn/
     to do or use less of something (cắt giảm thứ gì)
     I'm trying to cut down on the amount of coffee I drink during the day.
     You can cut down on pure fat by reducing extras, such as salad dressings and butter on bread.

@ eat up /i:t ʌp/
     to eat all the food that you have been given (ăn hết)
    That cake looks delicious, I want to eat it up.
     Be a good boy and eat up your vegetables.
