     when you turn on a piece of equipment or a supply of something, you cause heat, sound, or water to be produced by adjusting the controls (bật thiết bị gì lên)
     She asked them why they hadn't turned the lights on.
     I turn the radio on to get the weather forecast every morning.

@ switch off /swɪtʃ ɒf/
     if you switch off a light or other electrical device, you stop it working by operating a switch (tắt máy, có ngắt nguồn điện)
     I remember switching off all the lights and locking the door carefully before coming here.
     Before working on a computer, always switch the power off and unplug the power cable.

@ log in /lɒɡ ɪn/
     to connect to a computer system by putting in a partucular set of letters or numbers (kết nối máy tính bằng nhập mật khẩu)
     What is the user name and password that you use to log in? 
     It has 1.7 million registered customers who log in to play games and socialize.

     to leave a website, et cetera, so that you have to enter your personal details again the next time you want to use it (thoát một chương trình, có yêu cầu tên đăng nhập và mật khẩu)
     If you are using a public computer, sign out of email rather than just clicking out of the screen.
     When you've finished using internet banking, sign out and close your browser.

     to provide your information to subscribe, register a website, channel (đăng ký, cung cấp thông tin)
     Forums always require you to sign up for an account before you can post anything.
     However, there are many mystery shopper websites that do charge a fee to sign up with their company.

     to produce a printed copy of a document that has been written on a computer (in văn bản)
     Could you print out a copy of that letter for me?
     You can print your work out for a real offline reading instead of sticking your eyes to the screen.

@ stand by /stænd baɪ/
     to be waiting and ready to do something  (trạng thái chờ và sẵn sàng làm gì)
     When you are not at your desk for a while, remember to put the computer in stand by mode to save energy.
     I have just put the computer on stand by to charge the battery.

@ log off /lɒɡ ɒf/
     to stop using a computer system or program by giving a particular instruction (dừng sử dụng hệ thống máy tính hoặc chương trình)
     The program lets you shut down, restart, or log off Windows at specific times and dates.
     When she finished working on the spreadsheet, she logged off and left the office.
