     to think about a subject carefully so that you can make a decision about it (xem xét)

     We are looking at the feasibility of building a shopping centre there.

     I am going to spend some time looking at my options before I decide to apply for the job.


@ do up /du ʌp/
     to repair or decorate a building so that it looks attractive (nâng cấp)
     This house will be worth a fortune when it is done up.
     They reckoned it would take six months to do up the house before they could move in.

@ take out /teik aʊt/
     to remove something from somewhere (mang ra ngoài)
     They took out a benign lump from her breast.
     Make sure you reach deep inside the cavity and take out everything.

@ put in /put in/
     to fix a large piece of equipment of system into a room or building, ready to be used (lắp đặt thiết bị lớn)
     They have put new windows in and painted the outside of their house.
     I have just had central heating put in.

@ put up /put ʌp/
     to attach something, especially to the wall (treo, dán)
     We put up some new pictures in the living room.
     Remember to put this picture up carefully.

@ throw away /θrəʊ əˈweɪ/
     to get rid of something you do not want any more (loại đi, vứt bỏ)
     When are you going to throw away those old magaziness?
     The previous owners have left lots of trash that we would have to throw away.

@ fix up /fɪks ʌp/
     to repair, decorate or change something so that it is ready for use (sửa chữa)
     He recently finished fixing up the old bungalow he bought in 1992.
     My neighbors are fixing up the house before they move in.

@ take up /teik ʌp/
     to start doing a particular job or activity (bắt đầu làm gì như một công việc, thói quen)
     He has taken up the position of supervisor.
     I take up my duties next week.
