Meaning: to judge or decide the amount, value, quality, or importance of something (đánh giá)
Example: Under the tutelage of Professor Roberts, the 900 delegates assessed and discussed the social market economy.

Meaning: to accept something to be true without question or proof (cho rằng)
Example: They were chatting quite amiably on the phone last night so I assumed everything was okay.

Meaning: to tell someone confidently that something is true, especially so that they do not worry (bảo đảm)
Example: The police have assured the public that the escaped prisoners will not evade recapture for long.

Meaning: to surprise someone very much (là m ngạc nhiên)
Example: What other astonishing nuggets of wisdom do you have for us?

Example: Make sure the rope is firmly attached before attempting to climb down it.

Meaning: to pull or draw someone or something towards them, by the qualities they have, especially good ones (thu hút)
Example: My parents were attracted by the school's curriculum, which puts equal emphasis on artistic, practical, and intellectual subjects.

Meaning: to stay away from someone or something (tránh)
Example: We need to examine how an accident like this can be avoided in the future.

Meaning: to stop sleeping or to make someone stop sleeping (thức dáºy)
