@ demand /dɪˈmænd/
     Meaning: to ask for something forcefully, in a way that shows that you do not expect to be refused (đòi hỏi, yêu cầu).
     Example: She strode purposefully up to the desk and demanded to speak to the manager.

@ deny /dɪˈnaɪ/
     Meaning: to say that something is not true (phủ nhận).
     Example: The ambassador denied that any missiles had been fired across the border.

@ depend  /dɪˈpend/
     Meaning: to be decided by or to change according to the stated thing (dựa trên).
     Example: How long the journey takes will depend on how long it takes to get through the traffic.

@ describe /dɪˈskraɪb/
     Meaning: to say or write what someone or something is like (miêu tả).
     Example: The newly described South American species would have been slightly smaller than today's emperor penguins.

@ deserve /dɪˈzɝːv/
     Meaning: to have earned or to be given something because of the way you have behaved or the qualities you have (xứng đáng).
     Example: He was a good strong leader, she said, who deserved his party's unreserved support.

@ desire /dɪˈzaɪr/
     Meaning: to want something, especially strongly (khát khao).
     Example: The hotel had everything you could possibly desire.

@ destroy /dɪˈstrɔɪ/
     Meaning: to damage something so badly that it cannot be used (phá hủy).
     Example: Deforestation is destroying large areas of tropical rain forest.

@ determine /dɪˈtɝː.mɪn/
     Meaning: to control or influence something directly, or to decide what will happen (xác định, quyết định).
     Example: The economy is regarded as the key factor which will determine the outcome of the general election.
