     (verb) to make certain that a formal discussion happens without problems and follows the rules (làm cho dịu lại, tiết chế).

     (verb) to be the largest, most important or most noticeable part of something (át hẳn, chiếm ưu thế).
     Example:  dominated the ratings as the highest-rated cable news telecast of the night in both viewers and 25-54 demo and averaged more than 3.2 million viewers.

     (noun) a programme that is broadcast on television (chương trình truyền hình).
     Example:  dominated the ratings as the highest-rated cable news telecast of the night in both viewers and 25-54 demo and averaged more than 3.2 million viewers.

     (noun) informal for demonstration, the act of showing someone how to do something, or how something works (sự thể hiện).
     Example:  dominated the ratings as the highest-rated cable news telecast of the night in both viewers and 25-54 demo and averaged more than 3.2 million viewers. 

@ time slot  /ˈtaɪm ˌslɑːt/
     (noun) a time when something can happen or is planned to happen, especially when it is one of several possible times (khung giờ).
     Example: Last night's town hall also marked the highest-rated airing of the Ingraham Angle since taking over the timeslot.

@ represent /ˌrep·rɪˈzent/
     (verb) to be the result of something, or to be something (thể hiện, chiếm).
     Example: President Trump's town hall represented 60% of the cable news share in total viewers and 55% of the cable news share in the key demo.

@ notch  /nɑtʃ/
     (verb) to achieve or keep a record of something (đạt được, giữ kỷ lục).
     Example: The town hall with President Trump notched a 45% increase in total viewers at 7pm ET and 50% in the 25-54 demo verses the 2024 average.

     (verb) to become four times as big, or to multiply a number or amount by four (nhân lên gấp bốn).
     Example: FNC's town hall quadrupled CNN in total viewers and beat MSNBC by a triple-digit advantage  in the 7pm ET timeslot.
