@ set up /set ʌp/
     to formally establish a new company, organization, system, way of working, et cetera (chính thức thành lập một công ty, tổ chức, hệ thống, phương pháp làm việc)
     They've set up a fund for victims of the earthquake.
     We plan on setting up a new manufacturing company at the beginning of next fiscal year.

@ build up /bɪld ʌp/
     to increase or become larger or stronger, or to cause someone or something to do this (đẩy mạnh, phát triển hoặc làm cho ai, cái gì phát triển)
     It took her ten years to build up her publishing business.
     At this time of year, stores are building up stock for Christmas.

@ burn out /bɜːn aʊt/
     to be forced to stop working because you have become ill or very tired from working too hard (buộc dừng làm việc vì bệnh hay mệt mỏi do làm việc quá sức)
     They asked her to slow down because they don't want her to burn out.
     You'll burn out if you keep working such long hours without a holiday.

     if a business or organization closes down or someone closes it down, it stops operation (một doanh nghiệp hay tổ chức dừng hoạt động)
     With sales down, the company closed one factory down and reduced the workforce at another.
     Pensioners are devastated to hear that the Post Office is closing down.

@ lay off /leɪ ɒf/
     to stop employing someone, usually because there is no work for them to do (cắt giảm nhân sự, thường do không có việc để làm)
     Because of failing orders, the company has been forced to lay off several hundred workers.
     She was laid off along with many others when the company moved to Vietnam.

@ step down /step daʊn/
     to give up a job or position (từ chức)
     She stepped down as captain of the team.
     Spiderman stepped down as the head of the department in December.

@ take over /teɪk ˈoʊvə(r)/
     to start doing a job or being responsible for something that another person did or had responsibility for before (bắt đầu một công việc mới mà ai đã làm trước đó)
     He took over from the previous headmaster in November.
     She took over as manager two weeks ago.
